Welcome to the Wisconsin Heritage Online Project Resources Wiki.
This wiki is designed to serve potential and current contributors to Wisconsin Heritage Online. Outside sources and official WHO documents have been compiled to help you through the digitization process. Feel free to contribute to our Wisconsin-wide digitization collaborative. The password will always be included in the most recent WHO News.

The Hosting Application and the Harvesting Application forms (under Getting Started with WHO) are now available in EDITABLE PDF form. There is a submit button that will cause the emailed form to come to me! I'm excited about this and can't wait for someone to prove that they work!
Wisconsin Heritage Online Board meeting is February 26th in Madison from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Look for the agenda and meeting minutes

Here is a
summary of a subset of the 158 historical society/museum surveys returned. The
subset is composed of the seventy-four institutions that identified themselves as ready to do a digital project. You might like to take a look at these files (identities deleted) to see the range of materials, organizational systems, and work routines. I'll post a file of the complete survey results sometime in January.

For a good introduction to digitization, see Cornell's Digital Imaging Tutorial. Not all aspects are relevant for WHO hosted contributors, but it's a great general resource.
